The expectancy theory can conclude by saying that the shared sense of the purpose always has a practical value to a company. The theory can also explain that in the DTE survey of the employee engagement the employee has become more committed to the work and they have also become more satisfied with their jobs (Jones & George, n.d.). The expectancy theory can also explain that with a shared purpose and the business performance has improved significantly (Jones & George, n.d.). If the expectancy theory is followed properly then every company can understand how the individuals are motivated to choose among the behavioral alternatives (Jones & George, n.d.).
